The City of Battle Creek will accept sealed bids for the FAA-FIFO Interior Finishes project. This project consists of comprehensive interior painting and carpeting services to enhance the aesthetics and comfort of the specified spaces. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the patching of all existing interior walls and painting. In addition, new flooring is to be provided in all of the work spaces. The disassembling, relocating, and reassembling of office furniture is included in the scope as well. BID BOND: Each bid must be accompanied by a standard form bid bond, made payable to the City of Battle Creek, in an amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the base bid submitted. Failure of any accepted bidder to enter into a contract for the work will cause forfeit of the bid security. PERFORMANCE/LABOR/MATERIALS BONDS: The accepted bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor/materials payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract and insurance certificate upon forms acceptable to the City. Bids may be withdrawn up to the time and date of the bid opening. After the bid opening, bids may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days thereafter.
