The Manteca Police Department Facility project consists of the construction of a new essential services police headquarters facility on an approximately 8-acre site located at 682 South Main Street, Manteca, California. The project includes development of a new one-story main building of approximately 46,000 square feet, along with a separate 3,000 square foot support building, designed to accommodate 24/7 police operations in a secure, functional, and energy-efficient environment. The main facility includes administrative offices, patrol operations, dispatch/RTIC, temporary holding areas, evidence processing and storage (including high-density evidence systems), armory, training and community spaces, fitness areas, and specialized law enforcement support functions. The project also includes a support building for storage and operational support functions, as well as a secured sally port, K-9 facilities, and associated secure site elements. The project is designed as an Essential Services Facility in accordance with applicable building codes, with construction consisting of a fully sprinklered Type II-B main building and Type V-B support building. The facility incorporates specialized systems including access control, video surveillance, emergency responder 911 dispatch radio systems, paging and radio monitoring systems, and integration with existing City communication infrastructure, including connection to the existing police radio tower and fiber network. Site development includes grading, paving, parking, perimeter security, utility infrastructure, and coordination with off-site utilities, including communication and power systems. The project also includes installation of building systems such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, communications, and security systems necessary for full operation of a modern public safety facility. The project will be delivered using a Design-Bid-Build delivery method from Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) approved construction documents and is subject to all applicable public works requirements, including prevailing wage. Contractors may submit written questions regarding the pre-qualification requirements. Responses will be provided via written addendum on or about May 1, 2026. No questions will be accepted after this date.
