West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors (BOG) located in Morgantown, West Virginia (WVU or University) is initiating this Request for Bids (RFB) from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors to construct an outdoor classroom/pavilion located at WVU Jackson's Mill in Weston, WV. The project consists of taking delivery of and constructing a 24 x 60 outdoor covered pavilion provided by Mountain State Log Homes. Mountain State Log Homes will provide the support timbers, trusses, roofing materials and siding logs. The contractor will need to receive, off-load and store those materials on-site at Jacksons Mill until construction beings. These items will need protection from the elements until installed. There will also need to be two restrooms and a storage/mechanical room constructed on one side of the pavilion. The pavilion will be constructed on a concrete pad which will require minor earthwork to level the site for the pad location. Water, sewer and electric service will need to be run to the pad for use at the pavilion. Question Deadline 01/07/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Questions Are Permitted but Will Not Be Officially Answered Unless They Are Submitted to the Q&a Board. Substantial Completion shall be: 90 days upon receiving a PO from WVU. Final Completion shall be: 120 days upon receiving a PO from WVU. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion
