The University of Texas System is preparing to undertake the next phase of growth at the University of Texas Laredo Campus. Through this solicitation, the successful AE/Master Planner will be a critical participant in planning for growth. This project has received approval and funding for the Definition Phase which will consist of: o Master Planning the remaining undeveloped portions of the campus. o Comprehensive considerations for expansion beyond immediate campus. o Programming for a new Multipurpose Building. o Schematic Design for the Multipurpose Building. o Development of architectural guidelines for future projects. o Provide a cost estimate for the Multipurpose Building project. Currently, the Multipurpose Building is anticipated to contain offices, classrooms, wet and dry laboratories, collaboration spaces, and support spaces. The Preliminary Project Cost (PPC) for this project is $50,000,000. The PPC includes a Construction Cost Limitation (CCL) for the Architect/Engineer of $34,000,000. Fees, furnishings, equipment, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies make up the balance of the PPC. Upon receipt of the balance of the funding, which is anticipated to be received in mid-2025, the project will continue and will ultimately include selection of a Construction Manager at Risk, construction and acceptance. Owner issues Notice to Proceed for Construction September 2026 Owner accepts Substantial Completion of Construction March 2028 The Owner may evaluate the Qualifications based on the anticipated completion of all or any portion of the Project. The Owner reserves the right to divide the Project into multiple parts, to reject any and all Qualifications and re-solicit for new Qualifications, or to reject any and all proposals and temporarily or permanently abandon the Project. Owner makes no representations, written or oral, that it will enter into any form of agreement with any respondent to this RFQ for any project and no such representation is intended or should be construed by the issuance of this RFQ.
