The Work includes the following major items: a. Construction of 8-inch water main, appurtenances, and water services along West First Street. b. Construction of 8-inch water main, appurtenances, and water services along Norway Street. C. Restoration of disturbed areas including HMA paving, concrete and lawn. The Project will be financed with funds provided by Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, ar Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, and the Contract Documents reflect requirements by that agency. Bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders must be s with each Bid. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the actual date of opening thereof. This time period extended by mutual agreement of the Owner and any Bidder or Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all Bids. ON-SITE LABOR Owner's financing requires that all on-site construction meets the Davis Bacon requirements and labor be prevailing wages. Question Deadline 12/27/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarification considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
