Renovation of a multi-residential development in Greenwood, South Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Project was not awarded due to bid being over budget. Do not plan to reissue at this time. Summary of Work A. The project generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following work: 1. Development SC030-005: Replace selected interior doors in existing hollow metal frames in 66 apartments. New doors are stile and rail six and three-panel doors. Existing hardware is to be reused except as noted. 2. Development SC030-008: Replace selected interior doors in existing hollow metal frames in 39 apartments. New doors are stile and rail six and three-panel doors. Existing hardware is to be reused except as noted Each prime bidder must deposit with his bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid. Bid Bonds and Performance and Payment Bonds must be secured by a guaranty, or a surety company listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570 and shall be within the maximum amount specified for such company in said Circular 570. The "Bid Bond" and the "Performance and Payment Bond" must be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be listed in U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570. No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the following information: the contractor's name, license number, the date of the license's expiration, and a quotation of that part of his classification applying to the bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
