FY 2025 Mill and Overlay on Various Street Locations Will Communicate Questions and Answers to All Respondents. The Last Addendum Will Be Posted to online. This Project Requires Milling and Overlay, Reconstructive Patchwork and Replacement of Gutters on Various Locations. The Engineers Estimate for the Project is $1,424,850.41 the Time Allotted for This Project is 110 Days for Substantial Completion. Proposals Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond in an Amount Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid as a Guarantee That the Bidder Will Not Withdraw From the Competition After the Opening of the Bids and, if Written Notice is Given of Such Award, Enter Into a Written Contract With the City of Dunedin, Florida, in Accordance With the Written Proposal. Should the Successful Bidder Fail to Enter Into a Contract, the Bid Bond Shall Be Forfeited as Liquidated Damages. No Proposal May Be Withdrawn After the Scheduled Closing Time for the Receipt of Bids for a Period of Sixty (60) Days Without the Consent of the City. The City of Dunedin, Florida, Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids Received, Waive Any Irregularities or Informalities, Re-advertise, and Award the Contract in Its Best Interest. The City Reserves the Right to Modify This Schedule at Any Time. Bid date notes Sealed Proposals Will Be Accepted online All Work Performed Shall Be in Accordance With the Contract Documents. . Submittals Shall Be Clearly Marked: Fy 2025 Mill and Overlay on Various Street Locations in Addition, the Proposals Must Be Marked With the Bidders Name and Address. Payment for all Work done in compliance with the Contract Documents, inclusive of furnishing all manpower, equipment, materials, and performance of all operations relative to construction of this project, will be made under Pay Items listed herein. Work for which there is not a Pay Item will be considered incidental to the Contract and no additional compensation will be allowed. A. Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to satisfactorily return all disturbed areas to their original conditions or better. B. Work includes furnishing and placing sod, fertilizer, planting, watering and maintenance until acceptance by the Owner. C. Unless otherwise shown on the Drawings or directed, all disturbed grass areas shall be restored with solid sod of the same type which existed prior to construction. A. The work included under this section consists of furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, materials and performing all operations to apply new pavement stripping, markings, symbols and appurtenant work as shown on the drawings or as directed by the City. B. Unless otherwise noted on the drawings or directed by the City, traffic stripes and markings shall be thermoplastic, except in areas of the City that are designated as a Special Public Transportation Zone, where all traffic stripes and markings shall be painted. A. The work covered by this Section of the Specifications consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, tools and materials, and in performing all operations in connection with the restoration, repair or reconstruction of all streets. B. This work shall be performed in strict accordance with the requirements of all applicable sections of these Specifications and in conformity with lines, grades, notes and typical crosssections shown on the Drawings or as directed by the City. C. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing and disposing of all asphalt, curb, sidewalk, unsuitable subbase, and other unsuitable materials generated by the work. Suitably removed existing base material may be reused elsewhere on the project with prior approval by the City. D. The Contractor is responsible for all surveying required to restore, repair or reconstruct the roads to preconstruction or new lines and grades as described by the plans. Special care shall be taken to ensure proper flow of stormwater into storm structures, swales and other conveyances. E. Special attention is called to the fact that certain portions of the work for this project are described by reference to the "Standard Specifications". The term "Standard Specifications" refers to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction," latest edition. In any case, where a specific detail regarding materials or method of construction has been omitted in the specifications, such work shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of the "Standard Specifications." Whenever the "Standard Specifications" use the word "Department" or reference any of its engineers, agencies or representatives, the word or reference shall be taken to mean "City of Dunedin, Florida."
