Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; for paving for a medical facility; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Cancer Treatment Center and Advanced Ambulatory Center will be a state-of-the-art facility providing cancer care and research to treat patients across Kentucky. The full scope of the program is combined in 3 project parts: Upgrades to Elizabeth Street and roadways on the west side of the medical campus, Site and Utility upgrades, and a 9 level (including a mechanical penthouse) 563,475 GSF Cancer Treatment Center (CTC) and Advanced Ambulatory Center (AAC). The CTC AAC serves both inpatients and outpatients with the lower 3 floors capable of treating inpatients. The program includes Radiation Medicine, Imaging Services, Lab, Cancer Urgent Care, an Ambulatory Surgery Center, various cancer and not cancer clinics, infusion, and women's cancer services. A divided sky bridge connection will connect to Pavilion A, primarily for the movement of families, visitors, ambulatory patients, and staff. The site design provides generous, welcoming landscape space to create a distinctive healing environment. Please ensure there are no staples (check your bid bond). The time for Substantial Completion as further defined in Article 1 of the General Conditions shall be per project schedule consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement as specified in the Work Order letter, or as shown on the Construction Manager's Project Schedule, and Final Completion shall be thirty (30) consecutive calendar days thereafter. Substantial Completion will include all the site restoration completed, site clean-up and fully functional. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions and Special Conditions. Diverse Business Enterprises (DBE) consist of minority, women, disabled, veteran and disabled veteran owned business firms that are at least fifty-one percent owned and operated by an individual(s) of the aforementioned categories. Also included in this category are disabled business enterprises and non-profit work centers for the blind and severely disabled. To be deemed a Kentucky located Business a company must have a physical facility located in the Commonwealth of Kentucky that is engaged in on-going business operations The University desires to increase the amount of goods and services acquired from Kentucky and DBE businesses. The University encourages its suppliers to support and assist in this effort.
