Reference Number 0000283685 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/12/13 02:00:00 PM EST General Contractors will be required to price the Scope of Work including the complete renovation of the existing building, including an upgraded envelope, new roof, slab on grade replacement, new HVAC, new electrical and service upgrades to plumbing, sanitary and sprinklers, parking and site changes and upgrades, landscaping, and water source protection for the neighbouring areas. It is anticipated that Contract Documents will be available to the selected prequalified General Contractors approximately in April 2025. The tender period will be 4 weeks, with Contract Award within 6 weeks after the close of the bid, pending Ministry of Health Approval. Construction would start immediately upon award, which is anticipated in June 2025, with an estimated Substantial Performance by June 1, 2026. Including all building upgrades and sitework, the construction budget is estimated between $20 to $25 million CAD exclusive of soft costs and taxes.
