Work will include construction of a building, approximately 3,500 gross square feet in area, associated site work, landscaping, exterior site lighting and utilities work. The contractor will be provided a laydown area, however the location as shown on the plans may change due ongoing site work. This project will be grant funded by the Virginia Department of Aviation. This grant funding will require separation in bid items as noted on the bid form. This is for the purposes of allocation grant funds by fund type. The subsequent schedule of values will also require structuring to conform to grant funding. Coordination and testing will be required as noted in the Contract Documents. All Work shall be as described in the Project Manual and shown on the Contract Drawings. The purpose of the pre-bid conference is to allow potential Bidders an opportunity to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation. While attendance at this conference will not be a prerequisite to submitting a bid, Bidders who intend to submit a bid are encouraged to attend. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents or Contract Documents shall be submitted to the ARCHITECT in writing. In order to receive consideration, all questions must be received by the ARCHITECT prior to 3:00 P.M., January 10, 2025.
