Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Pullman, Washington. Completed plans call for the addition of a 24,254-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
This project at the Dodgen Research Facility will add a new addition (approximately 5,000 gsf) for future hot cell research. This single-story addition will include a combination of space for up to three hot cells, a chemistry wet lab, and high bay storage, all serviced by an overhead crane. The proposed building addition must include HVAC systems capable to provide conditioned space (heating and cooling) along with exhaust through a HEPA filtration system. Ease of operation and maintenance of critical systems shall be considered in the design. Site work including: grading, excavation, minimal fill, retaining walls, and landscaping will be required to accommodate the new addition and associated loading dock/parking lot. As of August 1, 2025, this project is under construction.
