Project Description: Contractor shall provide all resources required to provide water system improvements at H.M. Pearson and Mary Walter Elementary Schools in accordance with the specifications provided by WW Associates. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all resources required to accomplish the scope of work in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions, and drawings provided, attached, and included herein. This solicitation is issued by the Fauquier County Government and Public Schools, Procurement Division on behalf of the Fauquier County School Board, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, herein referred to as "Owner". Questions Due Date: Feb 20th 2025, 4:30 PM EST Work Shall Begin Within Ten (10) Calendar Days After Receipt of "notice to Proceed" and Shall Be Substantially Completed Within Two Hundred Forty (240) Calendar Days From the Specified "notice to Proceed" Date. Bid Bond or Guarantee: Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond or Guarantee of Five Percent (5%) of the Amount of the Bid, Which Shall Be a Certified Check, Cash Escrow or a Bid Bond Payable to The Treasurer of Fauquier County, Virginia. The Sureties of All Bonds Shall Be of Such Surety Company Or Companies as Are Approved by the State Corporation Commission Authorized to Transact Businessin The Commonwealth of Virginia. A Performance Bond in Form Satisfactory to the School Board, Executed by a Surety Company Acceptable To the School Board and Authorized to Do Business in Virginia or Otherwise Secured in a Manner Satisfactory to the School Board, for the Faithful Performance of the Contract in Strict Conformity With the Plans, Specifications and Conditions of the Contract. The Bond Shall Be in an Amount Equal to 100% of the Price Specified in the Contract; and A Labor and Material payment bond in form satisfactory to the School Board, executed by a surety company acceptable to the School Board authorized to do business in Virginia or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the School Board, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or its Sub-contractors for the performance of the work provided for in the contract.
