Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Newton, North Carolina. Completed plans call civil work for a playground / park / athletic field and water / sewer project.
Project consists of demolition of the existing track and infrastructure below and interior to the track. An existing 54 ""CMP storm pipe that runs beneath the field will either be excavated and removed from the site or filled with flowable fill, both of which will require partial removal and capping of the 54"" pipe. The removal or fill occur after the to be constructed 54"" by-pass is installed and functioning All bidders are notified that Newton-Conover City Schools shall have a verifiable ten percent (10%) goal for participation by minority businesses in the total value of work for which contracts are awarded.
