Parking Lot Asphalt Overlay, Seal and Stripe Services at the Arleta DMV Field Office. See Exhibit A, Scope of Work, for a complete description of services, A valid C12 or C32 contractor license. Written questions regarding IFB are due by: 1/3/2025 4:00 pm. Written responses to questions released by: 1/8/2024 4:00 pm. GENERAL (1). SUMMARY OF WORK a. The Contractor shall clean existing asphalt surfaces and complete all minor asphalt repairs and oil removal as indicated on the plans, specifications or indicated at the job walk. The Contractor shall fill all cracks over 1/8" wide with pre-approved rubberized crack filler. b. The Contractor shall remove and replace with fabric overlay and new asphalt approximately 80,000 sq. ft. of parking lot and vehicular lanes. Asphalt weight tickets shall verify with the DMV Project Manager. c. The Contractor shall return thirty days after asphalt overlay is complete and seal coat the entire parking lot (approximately 124,000 sq. ft). The Contractor shall apply two (2) or more coats of asphalt seal covering on all asphalt surfaces. d. Work includes replacement of twelve (12) concrete bumpers. The Contractor shall realign and pre-drill new bumpers. e. The Contractor shall repaint existing painted curbs, arrows and symbols with same original colors and re-stripe per specification all existing spaces and lines with matching original colors or colors to meet Title 24 of the 2016 CBC. (2). REPAIRS NOT SPECIFIED a. In the event the Contractor discovers the need for major and/or minor repairs not specified within this Exhibit, the Contractor shall immediately inform the DMV Project Manager. The DMV Project Manager shall determine the next course of action. All major and minor repairs not specified within this Exhibit shall be performed by a contractor of the DMV's choice under a separate agreement. (3). SITE CONDITIONS a. The Contractor shall visit the job site and become familiar with the existing conditions. The Contractor shall be responsible for knowledge of the site conditions. b. Information on any applicable drawings provided is approximate only. Minor deviations found necessary during the progress of construction to conform to actual locations shall be made by the Contractor at no additional cost to the DMV. (4). DISCREPANCIES a. Should there arise any error, discrepancies, or doubt as to the intent and purpose of this scope of work, the Contractor shall immediately contact the DMV Project Manager for further instructions before proceeding. The Contractor is responsible for field verifying all dimensions and existing site conditions pertinent to this Agreement.
