Renovation of a municipal facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

UPDATE ;https://www.cctexas.com/sites/default/files/FY-2024-2025-Adopted-Operating-Budget.pdf This project will remove and replace the skylight system at City Hall to prevent water intrusion into the building during rain events. Construction includes the erection of scaffolding around the building exterior to gain access to the skylight system on the rooftop, removal of the existing glass panels and frames, and the installation of new frames and glass panes. Upon completion, the skylight system will be water tested to ensure there are no areas of leaks. Project is in City of Corpus Christi capital budget fy 2024-2025 CIP 413 __________________________________________________________________________________________ The proposed skylight will be the same size and shape as the existing skylight. The proposed skylight will consist of aluminum framing and connections with glazing that is impact-rated and energy efficient. The overall size of the skylight will be approximately 32 foot long by 32 foot wide with 7-foot walls (3 foot behind the masonry walls and 4 foot exposed with glazing) and a 16 foot peak. The proposed skylight will meet current Texas Department of Insurance windstorm requirements and be impact-rated. Although representatives believe interior or exterior work would not be necessary, the proposed design includes interior and exterior work to install the new skylight. Proposed interior work would consist of the removal and replacement of the existing interior drywall finish to access the lower skylight wall framing and to observe the existing steel beam supports. The interior finishes would be replaced, taped, floated, and painted to match existing conditions. The exterior work would include cap flashing replacements and exterior brick veneer repair as needed. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The removal and replacement of one existing atrium skylight with associated Interior and exterior work. Refer to contract documents, plans and specifications for additional information. Any attempt to question City employees regarding this RFB outside of CivCast may result in the City disqualifying that Bidder. Only written responses in CivCast will be binding regarding inquiries requesting clarification or additional information. Written responses will be released in the form of an Addendum. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of all Addenda.
