Communicore Sanitary Cast Iron Deferred Maintenance Decker Construction is soliciting a formal bid for the asbestos abatement involving 39,000 square feet within the basement of the University of Florida Communicore Building. Any bid proposals exceeding $150,000.00 must be submitted in a sealed bid package and delivered either by mail or in person to our office. Decker Construction highly encourages all contractors to visit the site prior to submitting a bid to familiarize themselves with all existing conditions. The bid must address the following specific requirements: - The bid should include abatement of asbestos containing materials and the containment of all hazardous materials on decking and beams during removal. Safe transport through occupied space and appropriate disposal should be included in your bid. - The project will be executed in a three-phase construction schedule. - Negative air machines will be required for this project to ensure proper air quality management and safety protocols are upheld. - Must be familiar with UF guidelines and background check requirements. - Competent foreman on-site at all times. - Must be familiar with the UF Health Science Center Communicore Building. - Provide a unit price of additional abatement if required. - Work will be performed in a con-fined 3' tall crawl space. -
