The Town of Medway (Town) acting by and through its Town Manager, with support from the Medway Affordable Housing Trust (the Trust), seeks proposals (sometimes referred to herein as bids) from qualified engineering or architectural firms to conduct a feasibility study to determine if the property owned by the Town at 72A and 72B Main Street is suitable for development for at least 50 units of multifamily affordable housing. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to cancel this Request for Proposals (RFP) if it determines it is in the Town's best interest to do so. The Town of Medway is the owner of land located at 72A and 72B Main Street in Medway, Assessors' parcels 40-051-001 and 40-051-002. See deeds recorded at Norfolk County Registry of Deeds at book 41007 page 600 and book 41008 page 70. The property is also subject to a Declaration of Reciprocal Easements, recorded at book 33471, page 532. The Town is currently exploring the possibility of issuing an RFP for development of this site for a minimum of 50 units of low and/or moderate income housing, which would comply with state requirements for inclusion on the Town's Subsidized Housing Inventory. The Medway Affordable Housing Trust is supporting this effort by providing funds to conduct an initial feasibility study to determine if the site could be developed by a private, non-profit entity for such purposes. The Town seeks a qualified Consultant to provide an initial feasibility study for this purpose. The Affordable Housing Trust has allocated up to $20,000 for this study. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, and to waive any informality contained therein. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
