Question Deadline 12/23/2024 at 12:00 PM ET Online - Q&A SCOPE OF WORK 1. Licenses and Certifications It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to secure all Local, State, and/or Federal Licenses and Permits required by law, sate or ordinance to perform work. All Bidders shall be registered with the South Carolina Secretary of State's Office by the response deadline. Any Bidder who is not registered with the South Carolina Secretary of State's Office at the time of submission may be found non-responsive and may be withdrawn from consideration. The City of Columbia requires every person or business engaged in or intending to engage in any calling, business, occupation or profession, in whole or in part, within the limits of the city to pay an annual license fee and obtain a business license as provided in the ordinance. A valid City of Columbia Business License BID022-24-25-KDD-FEMA SS7510 Metro WWTP Emergency Generators 11 | P a g e must be in place prior to issuance of a Notice to Proceed and valid City of Columbia Purchase Order. Business License inquiries, requirements, and application can be accessed at: https://businesslicensing.columbiasc.gov/ 2. Project Specific Permits, Licenses and Certifications All Bidders must provide a copy of their South Carolina General Contractors License with the bid and shall have the required classification for the scope of work. The successful bidder shall secure any applicable additional permits, licenses or permits necessary to do business in the City of Columbia and perform the services required under the contract. The Contractor shall be responsible for any costs relating to the same. 3. Period of Performance The following period of performance, as indicated by the box checked by the City, applies to this solicitation and when applicable is required to be included in any submittal and/or contract and maintained during the entire term unless amended by the City. The undersigned proposes and agrees to begin work on a date to be specified in a written order from the City and to complete the amount of work herein contemplated within xxx (XXX) consecutive calendar days from the said date of commencement as defined in the Notice to Proceed (NTP). There shall be an additional one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days added for contract closeout such as providing as built drawings, testing, invoicing, The undersigned proposes and agrees to begin work on a date to be specified in a written order from the City and to substantially complete the amount of work herein contemplated within seven hundred thirty (730) consecutive calendar days from the said date of commencement as defined in the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and to fully complete the amount of work herein contemplated within an additional sixty (60) consecutive calendar days for a total construction time of seven hundred ninety (790) consecutive calendar days from the said date of commencement as defined in the Notice to Proceed (NTP). There shall be an additional one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days added for contract closeout such as providing as built drawings, testing, invoicing, etc. 4. Bonding and Liquidated Damages The following bonding and liquidated damages, as indicated by the box or boxes checked by the City, apply to this solicitation and when applicable are required to be included in any submittal and/or contract and maintained during the entire term (including any renewals, contract change orders, contract amendments or additional supplemental services):
