Description: This project, located in Frederick County, is for the safety and reconstruction of MD 17(Myersville Middletown Road) at the Interstate 70 (Eisenhower Memorial Highway) interchange. Beginning south of Ventrie Court (approximate milepoint 18.00) to south of Eagle Bay Drive (approximate milepoint 18.47) and including all interchange ramps to the theoretical gore, for a total distance of 1.65 miles. The work will consist of the following: a) Patching, fine milling asphalt pavement, and resurfacing of the existing roadway and shoulders. b) Erosion and slope failure repair. c) Existing ditch trimming. d) Replacement and upgrade of existing damaged or non-MASH-compliant traffic barrier W-beams and end treatments. e) Modification of structure end block modifications for traffic barrier W-beam attachments. f) Erosion and sediment control. g) Placement of pavement markings and rumble strips.
