Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Working plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
*As of March 19, 2026, project is in pre-construction. Some bid packages for this project have already gone out for bid, and are pending award. Currently there are no current bid package opportunity posted on the JV CM's website (https://www.walshkokosing.com/bsbc-current-opportunities). Although not yet firm, construction is estimated to start sometime in Q3-Q4 of this year, 2026. **PARENT PROJECT** The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Site work and new construction of a Companion Bridge to the Existing I-71/75 Brent Spence Bridge over the Ohio river between Covington, KY and Cincinnati, OH. As of March 19, 2026, a general contractor has been assigned for this project. While a firm sub-bid due date has not yet been released, sub-bid packages for some of the trades have started to come due, with others to follow at a later date. No firm date for later trades exists at this point. A groundbreaking is expected by the fourth quarter of 2026, however a firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released.
