Renovation of a municipal facility in Belleville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The project consists of a renovation of a roughly 1,800 square foot area within an existing multi-story Public Safety Building. The building houses emergency communications and administrative officesfor St. Clair County 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB). The majority of the work on the project consists of the creation of a new wellness room in the existing dispatch 9-1-1 space and a removal and replacement of most existing finishes within the existing dispatch 9-1-1 room. The existing two restrooms within the dispatch space will be combined into one newly renovated accessible restroom with new fixtures and finishes. A new pneumatic tube system is part of the new work and shall be installed with stationsin the existing vestibule and the dispatch space. Bids will be based on a single lump sum construction contract. Bids shall include not less than the Prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor and St. Clair County, Illinois. Bid Security is required in the amount of Five percent (5%) of Proposal, made payable unconditionally to the Owner. Security shall be a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond issued by the surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Within twenty-four (24) hours of a request by Owner or Architect, Bidder(s) shall furnish all forms and supplemental information as stipulated in the Bid Form. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract, with indication of the payment of all obligations arising thereunder using a form similar to the AIA 312 Form, or one acceptable to Owner. Bonds will become a part of the Contract. The failure of the successful bidder to enter into contract and supply the required bond and Certificates of Insurance and Bonds within ten (10) days after the prescribed forms are presented for signature, or within such extended period as the Owner may grant, shall constitute a default. The Owner reservesthe right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner.
