HUB Plan due: January 23, 2025, at 2:00PM CST. UNT PROJECT 14784 In accordance with Education Code 51.783, the University of North Texas System (UNTS) subsequently referred to as Owner, is accepting proposals and intends to enter into an agreement with a vendor that specializes in General Construction in accordance with the terms and conditions and requirements set forth in this RFCSP. This project is for a general contractor to provide general construction services for the renovation of the H-Wing located in the Discovery Park main building near the Asset Management loading dock. Discovery Park is located at 3940 N. Elm Street, Denton, Texas 76207. This project is to convert underutilized spaces into lab spaces allowing current research to maintain grant funding. The labs will support various research within the Department of Material Science Engineering. The interior renovation will include the buildout of two (2) research labs with fume hoods and benches; buildout of office for Risk Management staff; buildout of Asset Management staff office including area for equipment and secure storage; new HVAC system and lab exhaust; new electrical transformer; required minor sitework to accommodate four (4) exterior chiller units; and required minor roof work and patch. Fire sprinkler, fire alarm security camera and data cabling will be by UNT vendors and not part of general contractors' scope of work. Anticipated start date February 2025; the substantial completion of this project is expected to be complete by September 2025.
