The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a 2 year contract to provide: 20,000 PL 50 shrub seedlings of different species. It is anticipated that this IFB will result in a single contract award to the lowest total cost responsive and responsible vendor. Vendor must guarantee its pricing for duration of the project. Specifications: Provide seedlings with roots that fill to the bottom of PL 50 plugs and hold the soil together so that the root wad will not fall apart when removed from the tray, which is approximately 1.94" wide and 4.5" deep. Plants must have been started no later than the end of February so that they are at least 7 1/2 months old by October 15, 2025. They must be grown so that the plant is at least 6" tall above the soil surface by delivery. All of the plants must be wrapped in Vexar mesh tube protectors so that it covers the root wad and extends 8" above the soil surface to protect the plant. If plants do not meet these specifications by the time of delivery, the DWR will not accept them. Questions Due Date: Dec 12th 2024, 2:00 PM MST
