Nautical Landings Marina Boat Ramp Breakwater Repair Bidders must submit a bid bond, cashier's or certified check payable without recourse to the order of the City of Port Lavaca, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid submitted as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bonds and guarantee in the forms provided within fifteen (15) days after Notice of Award of contract to him. Bids submitted without the required security will not be considered Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves regarding all local conditions. The project consists of the construction of 197 linear feet of timber breakwater at the Nautical Landings Marina in Port Lavaca, Texas. The successful Bidder will be required to purchase and furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company, authorized to do business in the State of Texas, as required by Article 5160, V.A.T.C.S., as amended by H.B. 344, passed by the 56th Legislature, Regular Session, 1959. This project is being funded in part by a grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Small and minority businesses, women owned business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids and Bidders using subcontractors must solicit such firms in the subcontracting process. It is Recommended That Bidders Obtain a Complete Copy of the Bidding Documents From Urban Engineering to Submit a Bid.
