Site work for a water / sewer project in Brewster, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

* As of January 17, 2025, project was awarded to Ready Rooter Inc, but no bid amount available. ** Project Replace two utility mop sinks, install new sewer line and associated work. Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Scope of services: Plumbing Work at the Brewster Town Offices, 2198 Main St. 1. Disconnect and remove first and second floor mop sinks and faucets. 2. Cut back and cap cast iron drains in each mop closet as necessary. 3. Cut in and install two new hot and cold stops, one set in either mop closet. 4. Install two new plastic tub mop sinks. 5. Install two new faucets and connect to stops with stainless braided supplies. 6. Install two new 1" discharge pumps, one under either sink and attach the pumps to the sink strainers. 7. Install two 1" copper discharge lines. Pipe the second-floor discharge line down and over to the first floor mop closet ceiling. Install the first-floor discharge line up to the first floor mop closet ceiling. Run both discharge lines parallel across the mop closet ceiling and through the wall over the hallway drop ceiling to the exterior wall on the opposite side of the hallway. Both discharge lines will have new swing check valves and new ball valves for future repair or replacement needs. All turns and joints in the 1" discharge lines will be installed using press fittings. 8. Cut out sheetrock on the exterior wall as necessary. 9. Machine excavate and open an area outside the foundation wall. 10. Chip a new hole in the foundation wall to the area where the sheetrock was removed on the inside. 11. Install a new 4" cast iron sewer line through the wall with a 6" sleeve and 4"x6" rubber gaskets. 12. Run new 2" cast iron up the wall from the 4" and split off with a 2" Y. Pipe each 1" copper discharge line down the wall and make solid connections to the 2" cast iron with 1"x2" fittings and clamps. 13. Seal the inside and outside of the foundation around the new sleeve with hydraulic cement. Sealcoat the outside cement with foundation tar sealant. 14. Machine excavate a trench from the foundation out to the sewer line that runs by that section of the building. 15. Open up and uncover a 4'-5' section of the 6" sewer line approximately 6' deep and slope the sides of the opening to avoid cave-ins. 16. Cut in an inline 6"x4" Y in the sewer line. 17. Install new 4" cast iron outside the foundation to 10' away. Transition to PVC and run new PVC over and connect to the 6"x4" Y. The new exterior sewer line will have a cleanout with a cast iron walkover cover to grade within 4' of the foundation and a PVC cleanout with a cast iron walkover cover to grade above the connection to the 6" sewer line. 18. Backfill and compact all exterior trenching and rake out to existing grade. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to provide adequate machinery and transportation of said machinery to and from the various locations Questions regarding the advertised quote documents can be directed to Donna J. Kalinick, dkalinick@brewster-ma.gov. Each quoter must familiarize themselves fully with the conditions relating to the construction of the project and the employment of labor thereon. Failure to do so will not relieve a successful quoter of their obligation to furnish all material and labor necessary to carry out the provisions of the contract. Insofar as possible the Contractor, in carrying out his work, must employ such methods or means as will not cause any interruption of or interference with the work of any other Contractor Plumbing Services for the Town of Brewster Town Hall Installation of new mop sinks, pumps, sewer line installation. Work shall take place during regular hours as needed. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to provide adequate machinery and transportation of said machinery to and from the location if needed. Vendors are required to sign a Town of Brewster contract. Permits will be filed with both the Plumbing Department and the Board of Health prior to the project. Inspections will be called for prior to backfilling the exterior work.
