The City of Plant City, FL, hereby invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for the replacement of the existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system at Bruton Memorial Library located at 302 McClendon Street in Plant City, Florida. The current HVAC unit is a 30-ton system, which is oversized and operating at approximately 30% capacity. The objective of this project is to replace the current system with a properly sized, efficient 25-ton split system that meets all relevant building codes and standards while ensuring comfort and air quality for library patrons and staff. 2. Detailed Specifications The contractor shall provide an HVAC replacement that complies with the following specifications: A. System Type: 25-ton split HVAC system consisting of an air handler and a condensing unit. B. Energy Efficiency Ratio: The new system shall have a minimum Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 11.0 and a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) of 16.0. C. Thermostat: A programmable digital thermostat shall be included as part of the replacement, allowing for energy-efficient scheduling. D. Installation Standards: 1. Install in accordance with the latest edition of the Florida Building Code. 2. Ensure compliance with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 90.1 for energy efficiency and system performance. 3.
