This specification intends to make a purchase with the installation of improvements to the current fencing at the City's Auto Pound and the addition of a steel carport for the City of Grand Prairie Police Department. Pictures of the City's current fencing have been provided . Vendor agrees to furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment to provide fence improvements and steel carport as specified. . All installations and removals will include cleanup of the job site and removal and proper disposal of all trash and debris. . Work shall be performed in accordance with industry standards. . Vendor staff working on this project shall provide a photo ID, and sign-in/check-in is required for all contractors. A special badge will be issued to staff who are onsite. . Work cannot be done on Auction Days, which is the second Wednesday of every month. . Work is to be fully completed by September 29, 2025. The city is seeking improvements and extensions to its current back-lot fence needed for the addition of a steel carport. . The city is considering the addition of two additional extensions to the current fencing and the addition of a gate; this has been listed as an alternate item in the bid pricing sheet. . Vendors shall install one (1) attached 32' x 34' x 12'.6" steel carport which meets or exceeds the following requirements: . The carport must attach to the fence . Carport shall cover the existing walkway . Carport must include rain gutters . Materials must match the current building . The city is considering adding lights that run from the Auto Pound Building to underneath the carport; this has been listed as an alternate item in the bid pricing sheet.
