As of January 31, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 11, 2025. Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements, Phase Two CONTINGENT AWARD OF CONTRACT. This CONTRACT is contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation for Bid (IFB) or Request for Qualifications (RFQ) are expected to be funded in part by financial assistance from the TWDB. Neither the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or the State of Texas, nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees, are or will be a party to this IFB, RFQ, or any resulting contract. A CERTIFIED OR CASHIER'S CHECK, or an acceptable BID BOND in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid proposal as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with the City of San Juan and furnish performance and payment bonds on the forms provided. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and satisfactory to the City of San Juan as required by Article 5160, V.A.T.C.S BIDDERS are cautioned that conditional or qualified bids, or bids not in the proper form may be rejected. BIDDERS will be allowed to modify and/or withdraw bids prior to date of bid submission and receipt. BIDS may be held by the City of San Juan for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening. THE CITY OF SAN JUAN reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any or all informalities, and to award the contract to the bidder or bidders, who, in the opinion of the City of San Juan offer the proposal in the best interest of the City of San Juan
