The intent of this RFPQ is to establish a shortlist of five (5) to seven (7) pre-qualified demolition contractors who will receive the RFT for the 7028 York Road ? Building Demolition as well as all applicable future demolition works within this Site. The 7028 York Road Site -Building Demolition Project generally entails the systematic dismantling of a multi-structure facility. This includes a 3,000 sq ft two-level office, a 15,000 sq ft pre-treatment building, a 12,000 sq ft percolation building, a 3,200 sq ft mechanical/process room, two digesters, and two concrete water storage reservoirs with a total capacity of 1,024 m³. A crucial aspect of this project is the conservation of the existing 300 mm piles and slabs, which are not scheduled for removal in the current demolition phase. The buildings and plants were primarily used for processing solid organic waste material into biogas and high-quality compost, and the facility was first in North America to adopt an innovative Dry Fermentation High-Solids Anaerobic Digestion technology for this process.
