Reference Number 0000370655 he City of Inkster is releasing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Project Prime Professional open to all interested firms to provide comprehensive project prime professional services throughout preconstruction, construction, and post-construction phases that include design, permitting (if required), and compliance and construction oversight. The Prime Professional shall prepare plans, specifications, and bid documents for the project and oversee the project construction. Funding for this project is provided by the Council of Michigan Foundations (CMF) through a partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Spark Grant Program (American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 - State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF)) and certain Federal provisions will apply. Project Description: The City of Inkster received Spark grant funding administered by the Council of Michigan Foundations through a partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to enhance recreation opportunities at Tyrone Wheatley Park on Beech Daly between Carlyse and Penn Streets. This project will enhance community well-being, promote outdoor activities, and create a vibrant green space. The project would also improve the existing infrastructure of the park and will also introduce some new amenities requested by the community. Some of the elements to be included in the park: New playground equipment and playground expansion New parking lot, and asphalt existing parking lot Reskin existing baseball infield and provide new lighting throughout the park Additional tables and grills New park signage and entry way New pavilion The approved scope of work and the City of Inkster's subrecipient agreement with the Council of Michigan Foundations is attached.
