PA System Upgrades Package 5A (Project Labor Agreement, GC Pre-Qual) PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Moscone, Flynn, & Malcolm X Elementary Schools n PA System Upgrades Package 5A The Project is generally described as: Public Address System Upgrades including associated cabling, integrated clock-bell devices, wall speakers, exterior speakers and head-end equipment at three elementary school campuses. The campuses are o Moscone Elementary School n 2576 Harrison St, San Francisco, CA 94110 o Flynn Elementary School n 3125 Cesar Chavez St, San Francisco, CA 94110 o Malcolm X Elementary School n 350 Harbor Rd, San Francisco, CA 94124 The Estimated construction value of the work is $2,172,300 Project Labor Agreement: All Bidders are hereby notified that the District has a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) in effect on the Project and all contractors and subcontractors bidding this project will be required to comply with the PLA. Pre-Qualification: All Bidders are hereby notified that this Project is subject to the District's Pre-Qualification Procedure. All General Contractors must submit a prequalification package a minimum of ten (10) business days prior to bid date in order to bid on this project. No bids will be received or opened from Bidders who have not been pre-qualified through the District's Pre-Qualification Procedure. Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any Bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respective Bid Proposals. The District has a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation Goal Program (the DVBE Program) which establishes a three percent (3%) Participation Goal for DVBEs. All Bidders are required by the District, pursuant to the DVBE Program, to submit DVBE Worksheets that confirm two (2) advertisements were published at least 14 days prior to bid opening. The Contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Education to the responsible Bidder that has been pre-qualified through the District's Pre-Qualification Procedure who submitted the lowest priced responsive Total Base Bid Proposal. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding.
