DESCRIPTION OF WORK Project: 6th and Pine Street Lift Station Rehab Location: 6th and Pine Street, Herrin, IL Proposed Improvements: This project consists of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to remove and replace submersible sewage pumps, control panels, guide rails, valves, piping, wet well lid, electrical connections, telemetry, site work, bypass pumping, and related miscellaneous work. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Owner will in no case be responsible for any cost, expenses, losses or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect of the Bidder. The Bidder shall take no advantage of any error or omission in the Bid Documents. The Bid shall be placed in a sealed envelope and shall be marked to clearly indicate its contents. When sent by mail, the sealed Bid Documents shall be addressed to the Owner at the address and in care of the official in whose office the Bids are to be received. All Bid Documents shall be filed prior to the time and at the place specified in the Advertisement of Bid. Bid Documents received after the time specified will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Permission will be given to a Bidder to withdraw a Bid if the Bidder makes the request in writing or in person before the time for opening proposals.
