General Background: Kentwood Public Schools is seeking proposals for furnishings for the newly renovated Hamilton Elementary School and the new addition of the Early Childhood Center. This building is located at 3303 Breton Road SE Grand Rapids, MI 49512. The District seeks to open this renovated elementary school in August of 2025 with the install of furniture to begin June 1, 2025. It is the intent of this RFP to hire dealer partners that are qualified to provide furnishings of the style and quality specified herein. Basic services and responsibilities of the vendor will include overall coordination and management of the final purchase orders and installation to meet specific schedule and cost parameters that have been established for the project. Hamilton Elementary School is reopening as a 3 section school, with a newly built addition featuring 8 Early Childhood classrooms starting in August of 2025. Hamilton Elementary will be the 11th elementary building in Kentwood Public Schools. Kentwood Public Schools uses a district standard approach when it comes to the furniture in their district. Hamilton Elementary will be no different. Our goal is to make sure every community member, administrator, teacher, and student has what they need in this space from a furniture standpoint to succeed.
