New construction of an educational facility in McClave, Colorado. Completed plans call for the construction of a 70,000-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
The Construction Manager is currently accepting subcontractor bids. Interested parties need to contact the CM directly for project documents and bidding information. Construction is expected to begin November 2025. McClave School District passed bonds for capital construction in 2024 and received a grant from BEST to fund a new PreK-12 school facility. The 2024 grant and bond will incorporate the following design criteria. Space on the site for future expansion, main entrance that faces the highway to enhance wayfinding, improved queuing lane and parking access to improve safety, PreK classrooms with secure entry, classroom security, admin/office located centrally, separate offices for counselor, principal and superintendent for privacy, flex spaces throughout the building, open layout classrooms, art/music and cafeteria centrally located, separation of grades, special education room, modern/flexible media center design, cafeteria adjacent to gyms, locker rooms near athletic fields, main and practice gym in close proximity, and concessions near the athletic fields.
