Site work for a civil project in Walnut Cove, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project includes the construction of a new 100,000-gallon elevated tank, Booster Pump Station, and pressure reducing station near Bunker Hill Road in Stokes County. There is not a pre-bid conference for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Document Note: Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of Stokes County Water and Sewer Authority, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm; and the office of the Engineer, LKC Engineering, PLLC, located at 140 Aqua Shed Court, Aberdeen NC 28315, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available on compact disc (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a nonrefundable charge of $150.00, including shipping. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. This section provides information regarding installing one factory designed and assembled automatic water booster station with all necessary pumps, internal valves, piping, electrical controls and accessories as shown on the plans and specified herein. Chemical feed system shall consist of chemical supply storage tank(s) from which the chemical solution shall be pumped through piping or tubing, as appropriate, to the point of application and all points in between. Each chemical feeding system shall include bulk tank, transfer pumps, controlled volume pumps, day tanks (if utilized), mixers, gauges, back pressure regulators, strainers, pressure relief valves, sight glasses and flow metering devices, calibration columns, check valves, hand valves, piping, etc. as indicated on the plans and described in these specifications. The Contractor shall verify that all equipment and materials supplied are suitable for the chemical being handled. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to furnish, install, and place in operation the engine generator systems in accordance with the contract documents and manufacturer's drawings and installation instructions. All equipment shall be new, factory tested, and delivered ready for field installation. The responsibility for performance to this specification shall not be divided among individual component manufacturers but must be assumed solely by the primary manufacturer. This includes generating system design, manufacture, test, and having a local supplier responsible for service, parts, and warranty for the total system. Generator set mounted subassemblies such as cooling system, base, air intake system, exhaust outlet fittings, subbase fuel tank, and generator set mounted controls shall also be designed, built, and assembled as a complete unit by the engine/generator manufacturer.
