Site work, new construction and renovation of a fire / police facility in Westhampton, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, plant, power, water, light, heat, fuel, tools, appliances, supplies and all other means of construction necessary or proper for executing and completing the Contract; restore to their original conditions all surfaces disturbed; pay cost of all insurance; bear all losses due to the nature of the work and costs incidental to suspension or discontinuance of the work except as otherwise provided; assume all responsibility for his work and operations of whatever nature or kind,secure and pay for all permits unless otherwise provided; conform to all County, State, and Municipal or Federal legislation and requirements; abide by all rules and regulations of utility companies whenever or wherever jurisdiction of these agencies prevails. He shall do all work necessary to conform to the Contract Documents and shall leave intact the work of all adjoining contractors unless otherwise ordered by the Owner; perform and complete the Work in a manner best calculated to permit rapid construction, consistent with protection of persons, work and property and satisfactory to the Owner. He shall protect the Work during construction, clean up the Work during and after construction, and maintain it until final acceptance as hereinafter provided. B. Materialsfurnished under the Contractshall be in accordance with the specifications therefore, or in the absence of particular specifications, it shall be of new stock, unused, unless otherwise specified, and not deteriorated in any manner. C. The Contractor shall perform all work and pay all costs of protecting, supporting, maintaining, repairing if damaged, relocating and restoring allsurface,subsurface or overhead structures and all other property including, but not limited to pipes, conduits, ducts, tubes, chambers and appurtenances, public or private in the vicinity of the Work. D. The Contractor shall do all extra work, as ordered in writing by the Owner. The work consists of the following: Provide a new +/-2650 s.f. single story metal framed structure, known as New Impound Section Office Building. The project will contain office space, conference room, a counter and waiting area for public transactions. The project shall be inclusive of all new construction not limited to: Sitework, HVAC, Fire Protection, and Electrical Systems as shown on drawings and specified herein. Work does not include moveable furniture, desks, workstations, cameras and kitchen appliances. This will be purchased via separate contract. Eligible bidders must have registered on the Suffolk County Department of Public Works Purchasing Unit web site to be eligible to submit a responsible bid. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid, made payable to the Suffolk County Comptroller. This bid bond will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and contract awarded to the Bidder, the contract will be duly executed and properly secured.
