**As of January 16, 2025 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Bid to insulate The Kilburn Room (conference room). The Town of Manchester, Vermont is seeking respondents to a Request for Bids from qualified contractors to insulate the Kilburn Room (the large conference room) in the Town Hall building located on Jeff Williams Way, Manchester Center, VT 05255. The Town desires to insulate approximately 1,600 square feet of ceiling area, and seal or repair existing mechanical louvers near the crest of the 22-foot peak ceiling. 1. Installation of Thermax insulation (2.5-inch thick poly iso rigid foam board), or an equivalent product, using screws and washer plates and PL glue, as necessary, to clad the underside of the ceiling in the conference room. Ends should be sealed with foam to air seal, where necessary. 2. Replacement and rigid and/or foam insulation in the space behind existing plywood covering former skylights, and covering with the Thermax insulation, or suitable product. 3. Remove and seal the area where the non-working mechanical louver/damper on the east side of the conference room, or repair or replace the existing system with fully functioning louvers. 4. Paint, tape, or otherwise provide a finished appearance to the ceiling so that it maintains a reasonably professional and pleasant appearance. 5. Complete the project with minimal disruption to the regularly scheduled public meetings.
