Hwy-35 Tank Repaint The Sheridan Waterworks will receive sealed bids on a General Contract for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Hwy-35 elevated water tank owned by Sheridan Waterworks . The scope includes sandblasting and applying protective coatings to the tank's interior, pressure washing and coating the exterior, repairing the tank level indicator, replacing the roof vent, replacing the overflow screen, replacing the interior ladder, replacing all safety climbing systems, repairs to riser manway, and installing an active mixing system to enhance water quality. Additional work will be performed to ensure full compliance with Health Department regulations. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. the Owner encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bi bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the Sheridan Waterworks in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The bid proposal and work of the proposed contract shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, ordinances and regulations. Also, a bid may be rejected if it, in any manner, shall fail to conform to the conditions of the Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, choose the most qualified bidder
