Construction - Transfer Station Improvement Each Bid Exceeding $50,000 Shall Be Accompanied by a Cashier's Check From a Bank Doing Business in the State of Arkansas or a Corporate Bid Bond for Five (5) Percent of the Amount Bid. In the Event a Bidder Opts to Submit a Cashier's Check for a Bid Bond, the Actual Physical Cashier's Check Shall Be Delivered to the City Prior to the Deadline. One Hundred Percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bonds Are Required After the Contract Award. This Amount Includes Any Approved Contingency. Bidders Shall Have a Valid State of Arkansas Contractor's License Prior to the Bid Deadline and a Valid Registration in Good Standing With the Arkansas Secretary of State Prior to the Contract Award. Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated 22-9-203 the City of Fayetteville Encourages All Qualified Small, Minority and Women Business Enterprises to Bid on and Receive Contracts for Goods, Services, and Construction. Also, City of Fayetteville Encourages All General Contractors to Subcontract Portions of Their Contract to Qualified Small, Minority and Women Business Enterprises. The City of Fayetteville Reserves the Right to Waive Irregularities, Reject Bids, and Postpone the Award of Any Contract for a Period Which Shall Not Exceed Beyond Ninety (90) Days From the Bid Opening Date.
