The City of The City of Fayetteville is accepting sealed bids from properly licensed Contractors for improvements to Fayetteville's Recycling and Solid Waste Transfer Station. This project includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of the metal push wall in the Transfer Station and the metal chute in the Waste Pit. Questions regarding this bid should be addressed to Amanda Beilfuss, Purchasing Director, at abeilfuss@fayetteville-ar.gov. The City of Fayetteville shall not be responsible for lost or misdirected bids, or failure of bidder's technical equipment. Each bid exceeding $50,000 shall be accompanied by a cashier's check from a bank doing business in the State of Arkansas or a corporate bid bond for five (5) percent of the amount bid. In the event a bidder opts to submit a cashier's check for a bid bond, the actual physical cashier's check shall be delivered to the City prior to the deadline. A one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and separate payment bond is required with the contract awarded. A State of Arkansas Contractor's License is required and registration with the Arkansas Secretary of State shall be valid and current at the time of Contract award. Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated 22-9-203 The City of Fayetteville encourages all qualified small, minority and women business enterprises to bid on and receive contracts for goods, services, and construction. Also, City of Fayetteville encourages all general contractors to subcontract portions of their contract to qualified small, minority and women business enterprises. The City of Fayetteville reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, and postpone the award of any Contract for a period which shall not exceed beyond ninety (90) days from the bid opening date. No Addenda will be issued within the last two (2) days before the date of opening Bids. However, an addendum that affects the time, date or location of the bid opening may be issued as little as twenty-four (24) hours before the date of opening bids
