Construction of a new pedestrian/cycling bridge crossing over McCartney Creek between Windsor Secondary and Lionsgate Christian Academy (in Windridge Park), and connecting multiuse paths in North Vancouver. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals for Qualification Submissions and detailed Proposals from multi-disciplinary consultant firms ("Proponents") with experience and expertise in designing active transportation bridges and multiuse paths, for the provision of design and construction services for the project has closed. As of October 8, 2025 a preferred proponent has yet to be identified. This RFP will be conducted in a two-stage format. In the first stage, Proponents will submit a Qualification Submissions (Stage 1 Submission) outlining their project team, project understanding, relevant experience, and the overall vision for the project. After evaluation of the Stage 1 Submission, three (3) shortlisted Proponents will be given a $20,000 budget to develop a Detailed Proposal (Stage 2 Submission) that includes a conceptual design, a construction cost estimate, and a design fee estimate for the bridge crossing and associated trail connections. The short-listed Proponents will be required to give a live presentation to the evaluation committee. The Stage 2 Submissions will then be evaluated, and the successful Proponent will then be engaged to provide comprehensive preliminary and detailed design services including tender and construction services for the project.
