Qualified contractor to extend an existing Valmont U-5.0 SST communication tower located at the Perris Desalter II Facility 29541 Murrieta Rd., in Menifee, California 92586. The current height of the tower is 40 feet, but it was originally designed for a full build-out to 80 feet. Question Deadline 01/15/2025 at 2:00 PM PT Online Portal TECHNICAL/SPECIFICATIONS Contractor shall install the remaining two sections of the existing tower per the manufacturer's drawings (see attachment A), complete the cable rack installation up to the full length of the tower, move an omni antenna, and install an ice bridge. Tower Expansion o The manufacturer is Valmont Structures, model U5.0 SST. o The current installed height is 40 feet and is extendable to 80 feet (see attachment A). o Contractor shall provide and install the two additional tower sections per Valmont's installation requirements. o Contractor shall move the existing lighting rod and relocate it to the top of the tower. o Contractor shall provide the required hardware to accommodate the extension. o Contractor shall expand the climbing ladder and safety cable system to new extended length of 80 feet. o Contractor shall follow manufacturer installation requirements and the Motorola R56 grounding standards for the extension. Install and Extend Cable Rack o The cable rack for the first 40-foot section in on site but (Attachment B). The contractor shall install the available hardware for the current 40-foot section. o Contractor shall provide and install the cable rack to accommodate the tower expansion along with its associated hardware. Move Existing 900 MHz Omni Antenna o Contractor shall move the existing 900 MHz antenna to the top of the tower. o Contractorshall provide 7/8-inch coax cable and install from the communication cabinet to the omni antenna. o Contractor shall provide and use cushion hanger kits to support the coax cable. RFP #3767 6 o All installation practices shall follow manufacturer and Motorola R56 standards. o Contractor shall provide all associated grounding hardware to meet R56 grounding standards. Install Ice Bridge/Trapeze o The ice bridge/trapeze hardware is onsite and was not installed. The contractorshall install the provided ice bridge from the tower to the communication cabinet (attachment B). Due to changes of the now finished project, the length of the ice bridge will be shorter and cutting will be required to complete the ice bridge installation.
