The Miami County Engineer intends to contract for civil engineering services in connection with the replacement of MIA-CR9-03.81 (Range Line Road Road Bridge No. 03.81), MIA-CR9-15.74 (Range Line Road Bridge No. 15.74), MIA-CR23-03.27 (Lostcreek-Shelby Road Bridge No. 03.27), and MIA-TR25- 01.82 (Sodom Ballou Road North Bridge No. 01.82). Statements of Qualifications should include information regarding the firm's history; education and experience of owners and key technical personnel; the technical expertise of the firm's current staff; the firm's experience in designing similar projects; availability of staff; the firm's equipment and facilities; references; and any previous work performed for the Miami County Engineer. As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-71, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the Miami County Engineer will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. The preliminary project description is as follows: Name of Project - 2025 Miami County Bridge Package Location - Range Line Road approximately 0.18 miles south of Markley Road spanning Brush Creek and 0.20 miles south of Klinger Road spanning Harris Creek, LostcreekShelby Road 0.81 miles south of U.S. 36 and Sodom Ballou Road North 0.17 miles south of U.S. 36 spanning the East Branch of Lost Creek. Description - Replacement of four existing bridges approximately ranging from 40-62' single and two span steel and prestressed box beam bridges. The proposed replacement structures will be two 65'+- overall length single span prestressed box beam bridges and two 50' +- overall length single span prestressed box beam bridges with a deck width of 28 feet on new abutments. Abutments to be capped pile or spread footings depending on the soil findings. The project will include minimal approach work. Estimated Const. Cost - $2,200,000 ($550,000 +- for each bridge) Source of Funding - Local (Miami County) Project Schedule - Anticipated dates for design startup/completion - February 2025/October 2025 We would like one bridge completed by October 2025 and the remaining bridges by March 2026) Anticipated date for construction startup/completion - October 2025/October 2026 Special Requirements - Plans to be designed to Miami County standards.
