Lift Station Rehabilitation 5 Locations Cahokia Heights, Illinois The project consists of converting one existing suction lift lift station to a submersible duplex lift station, along with the rehabilitation of four (4) existing submersible duplex lift stations. The work includes removal and replacement of lift station pumps, control panels, valves, pressure gauges, guide bars, float switches, lift cables, disconnect switches, power & alarm cables, discharge pipe, force main, wetwell lids, valve vaults, access hatches, and fencing, together with restoration of all disturbed surfaces and all other incidental work required to complete the project. Project Signs: Project signs shall be furnished and installed at each project location. The project signs shall be 24" vertical by 36" horizontal mounted on two metal T-posts. The signs shall be in color and read as attached at the end of this section. The sign locations shall be coordinated with the Architect/Engineer. All work shall be constructed under the provisions of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridges Construction prepared by the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois, adopted January 1, 2022 and the Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois, July 2009, Sixth Edition. The only exception to these standards, are all references to measurement and payment. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check for not less than five percent of the amount of the bid. The federal prevailing rate of wages (Davis Bacon Act) shall be paid throughout the scope of the project. The Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal for this project is seventeen percent (17%) of the awarded amount. Bidders will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 as amended. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications.
