The timeline for award has not yet been established.** Storage Tank Refurbishing-Eden 2 & Newstead Storage Tanks The Work consists of a single contract for the refurbishing of two water storage tanks (two steel hydropillars) within the Erie County Water Authority system, located in the Town of Eden and Town of Newstead. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid Contract term: April 2025 through June 2026 In accordance with State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k, all questions about meaning or intent of the bidding documents shall be submitted to the designated contact person in writing. Question Deadline 01/17/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Bidding Documents shall be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by ENGINEER at least ten (10) days prior to the date for the opening ofBids. The Work consists of refurbishing of two steel tanks. This includes surface preparation and painting of the interior and exterior of two steel tanks, and miscellaneous modifications to two steel tanks. 1. Eden 2 Tank (500,000 gal steel hydropillar) - The interior of the tank shall be spot repaired and partially recoated. The interior wet center ring beam and any portion of the roof plates on either side of the ring beam shall be near white metal blast cleaned (SSPC-SP-10) and coated with a 100% solids system. Interior pit repair will be done as necessary as directed by the ENGINEER. Spent blast debris shall be handled and stored under the rules and regulations for hazardous waste until testing is performed by the CONTRACTOR to determine if it is hazardous or nonhazardous. The exterior roof, bowl and shell of the tank shall be commercial blast cleaned (SSPC-SP-6) and recoated. The fluted column shall be power washed, spot repaired and overcoated. Work shall include initial cleaning and/or deicing of the tank. Pit welding and patching shall be done as identified in specification Section 01270 Measurement and Payment. Work shall also include various miscellaneous modifications as identified in specification Section 01270. 2. Newstead Tank (1,500,000 gal steel hydropillar with concrete pedestal) - The interior wet of the tank shall be spot repaired. Interior pit repair will be done as necessary as directed by the ENGINEER. The exterior roof of the tank shall be spot repaired. Spot repairs shall be prepared as identified in specification Section 09900 Painting. Work shall include initial cleaning and/or deicing of the tank. Pit welding and patching shall be done as identified in specification Section 01270 Measurement and Payment. Work shall also include various miscellaneous modifications as identified in specification Section 01270.
