**As of March 4, 2025, this project has not ye been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** This project entails demolishing all interior finishes inside the existing Marion County Silver Springs Shores Youth Center and converting the space into a library. Also included in this project is demolishing two existing gang restrooms and converting them into two single stall ADA restrooms as well as a breakroom. There are two alternate scopes in this project the first being the construction of a new covered entry and the second being the construction of a new reading porch. All work included in each of these separate scopes should be bid as add alternate prices. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Marion County believes that hiring done through this contract should, to the maximum extent, be offered to citizens within its boundaries that are unemployed or seeking work for the first time. To that extent, the firm awarded business under this contract will be contacted by the Workforce Connection, our regional workforce development board, to discuss hiring through its staff and services.
