Demolition, site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Norwich, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of Norwich and the Norwich Community Development Corporation are seeking proposals for design and engineering services to coordinate and implement improvements to the following properties. Funding for this project has been made available through two rounds of CT DECD Community Investment Fund 2030 grant awards totaling $5,920,000 in construction funding with a goal of promoting economic development and public access to the Norwich Waterfront. The amount of funding allocated to each project location is listed below (includes all design, engineering, permitting and construction costs) along with the basic scope of work: oHoward T Brown Memorial Park38 West Main Street (Former Mini-Golf Location)150 Chelsea Harbor Drive (Encanto Scoop at The Docks)Budget $ 3,847,500 Construction of a combination splash pad / ice rink including associated supportstructures and equipment oInstallation of self-cleaning ADA compliant restroom / changing rooms oConstruction of a permanent event stage Outdoor lighting improvements oDemolition of the abandoned mini golf site oUtility improvements to support new and existing structures (electrical, gas,water, sewer, internet, public Wi-Fi, security cameras) Landscaping improvements oTrail extension to the Marina and Transportation Center (10 Falls Ave) oInstallation of wayfinding signage oInstallation of bike racks and benches oHeritage Trail- Budget $1,122,500 oTree Trimming and Removal oFencing Repairs oErosion Control Measures oSite Demolition / Earthwork oPavement Replacement oBrick Paver Replacement oLighting Enhancements oTrail Amenities / Wayfinding oEducational Signage oConstruction of a Yantic River Overlook o74-78 West Main Street (Marina Towers)- Budget $900,000 oDemolition of building (separate RFP, no design / engineering services needed) oSite Improvements with remaining funds o46 West Main Street (Marina at American Wharf)- Budget $50,000 oPhase III Environmental Site Assessment
