Site work for a road / highway in Rancho Cordova, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals for traffic signal and horizontal curve safety improvements. Items of work include new vehicle signal heads, signal head backplates, flashing chevron system, thermoplastic pavement markings, high friction surface treatment, rumble strips, signs, hot mix asphalt and aggregate base. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $640,000 Contractor License Required: General Engineering Contractor, Class A Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashier's check payable to the City of Rancho Cordova, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the City of Rancho Cordova, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. No pre-bid conference or walk-through will be held for the purpose of reviewing and answering questions regarding this Project. The contractor will be required to comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity Program outlined in the Contract Documents. The award of the contract, if it be awarded, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose bid complies with all the requirements prescribed. The lowest bid will be determined based on base bid. The City of Rancho Cordova reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in their judgment, are the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder. Time for completion of the work is Sixty (60) Working Days from the date of issuance as stated in the Notice to Proceed by the City. Question Deadline 12/31/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Questions regarding this project are due online. Liquidated Damages: As set forth in Section 8-10 of the Standard Construction Specifications, the liquidated damages for this contract shall be the sum of Thirty-Six Hundred Dollars ($3600) per working day.
