Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Butler, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

NOTE: The Supervisors of Butler Township have authorized C.S. Davidson, Inc., to act on their behalf by opening bids. Contracts will be awarded at a regularly scheduled meeting of Butler Township. A Bid Bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to Butler Township in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid must be provided by each bidder with each bid. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price shall be required from the Successful Bidder. An anti-collusion affidavit is required for this Bid. While Bidders may make comments to clarify their bid, Bidders cannot change, modify, delete, alter, amend, or make additions to the wording to any of the Bidding Documents, including but not limited to the Agreement. Unauthorized conditions, exceptions, limitations, or provisions attached to a Bid may be cause for rejection of the Bid. Any questions regarding the Bidding Documents shall be submitted via Online and the Bidding Documents may only be modified by Addenda issued by the Township prior to the Bid opening date. Questions Due Date: Jan 28th 2025, 5:00 PM EST All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing via the "Messages/Vendor Discussions" feature in PennBid. Replies will be issued by Addenda, posted within the "Bidding Documents" feature in PennBid and an email notification sent to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of bids will not be answered. Notice is hereby given to bidders that all Contracts are subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961 (Act No. 442, P.L. 987), as amended. The Contract Time for all Contracts is two hundred seventy (270) calendar days. The Board of Supervisors for Butler Township intends to award a contract for the Base Bid and any combination, or none, of the Alternate Bid Items. The Owner shall have the right to accept Alternates in any order or combination, unless otherwise specifically provided in the Bidding Documents. The lowest responsive Bid will be determined on the basis of the sum of the Base Bid and Alternates accepted. The Township reserves the rights to reject any or all bids; to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities or informalities in a bid or the bid procedure; and to accept any bid which it may deem to be for or in the best interest of Butler Township. Bids may be taken under advisement and the award of contract, if awarded, will be made within 60 days after the date of the opening of the bids, or otherwise provided by law. The Board of Supervisors reserves the rights to formally accept a bid and award a Contract by public announcement at a regular meeting of the Township. The site will be made available to interested bidders who will be notified through PennBid with available dates and times. The Owner fully intends to construct the work for which bids are solicited. However, the Owner specifically reserves the right, which all Bidders acknowledge by submission of a bid, to reduce quantities and/or eliminate portions of the project to meet available finances. Reduction of quantities or elimination of portions of the project will not constitute grounds of additional or compensatory charges to the low bidder. The Owner may award any number of combinations of the multiple contracts involved with the project.
