Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
1: General Construction Work involves site construction including trenching, grading, utility installation, erosion control, concrete and asphalt paving and an oil water separator. Pole building construction includes concrete footings and slab-on-grade, concrete foundation walls, metal siding and roofing, gutters and downspouts, fiberglass insulation, rigid insulation, doors, fiberglass windows, interior partitions, built-in casework, ceilings, flooring, and paint; miscellaneous work to support other contracts as required. 2:HVAC Construction Work involves the installation of a gas-fired forced air ducted system for heating including associated piping, mini-split systems as well as general ventilation systems. 3: Plumbing Construction Work involves installation of plumbing fixtures, floor drains, wall hydrants, water supply lines, sanitary lines, traps and vents. 4: Electrical Construction Work involves installation of a new metered electric service and power distribution system including panels, disconnects, branch circuits and receptacles; telecom/data wiring and receptacles, installation of LED light fixtures (both interior and exterior) and switching including emergency/exit lighting; miscellaneous work to support other contracts as required. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Owner or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond on the form provided, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety (Surety companies must appear on the Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Pennsylvania), in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements set forth in the plans, specifications or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any applicable municipal ordinances. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price on the forms provided, with a surety company listed on the Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Pennsylvania. This project is being funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Davis Bacon wage rates will apply to this project. The contract documents contain requirements addressing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices and related matters. All contractors and subcontractors shall comply with the Public Works Employment Verifications Act. The Act requires the contractor to verify employment eligibility through the e-verify program operated by the United States Department of Homeland Security as a precondition of being awarded a contract for this project. The contract documents contain information and verification Form regarding the Act. Bidders for this contract shall have completed projects similar in character and scope and will be required to provide with their Bid a Qualifications Statement for prime contractor and all subcontractors.
